Danilo Luiz da silva may turn out to be very good buy for the Manchester City. The 26-year-old defender has a lot of potential and has the ability to play in both full-back positions and potentially in midfield. However, with the signings of Kyle Walker & Benjamin Mendy the question is where will he feature? With Real Madrid in the 2016/17 season, he made 24 appearances being a sub on one occasion. However, in the Top tier of Spanish Football Danilo managed to put his name in the scoresheet one time while providing couple of assists in 17 appearances.
With Benjamin Mendy injured for the first week or two of the season, Guardiola will opt to show Danilos’ versatility by placing him left back as he has in pre-season. Although, when Mendy returns from injury it’ll be interesting to see whether Danilo takes a step back and ends up more of a rotation player, as he can also pay in midfield.
