Sergio Aguero was left on bench for the second consecutive game as Argentina were beaten by France in a historic match with Les Blues progressing on a 4-3 win.
Aguero was benched in Argentina’s win against Nigeria in final group stage fixture, though everyone expected Jorge Sampoli to opt with Manchester City’s ace upfront. Surprisingly nither of Aguero or Higuain was preferred upfront with Leo Messi playing upfront.
Sergio Aguero did made an appearance from the bench, coring Argentina’s third goal.
Many Argentine’s took to twitter agonizing about Sampoli’s decision to drop Aguero.
