The Premier League is back in full swing this week, and the anticipation is palpable as Manchester City prepares for a thrilling encounter with West Ham on Saturday. West Ham has been nothing short of impressive this campaign, and the news of injuries to three of Man City’s players has only added to the intrigue surrounding this match.
Pep Guardiola confirmed in a press conference that Jack Grealish, John Stones, and Mateo Kovacic will be missing out on the game against North Londoners.
“We’ll see step by step,” Guardiola told reporters on Friday. “The injury for Jack is muscular but he has an incredible knock for his knee and the damage is there.

“John is better but still has issues. (Kovacic) has something also muscular. It’s not a big issue but also he is out.”
Manchester City had already missed Kevin De Bruyne for the long term before the international break but they would not be really bothered by the injury of these three players considering the depth they have in their line up but West Ham are not to be discounted. The North London club is on a purple patch having won three of their first four games which includes one draw.
Pep Guardiola was also out of his post pertaining to injury but is back at the helm.
“I’m getting better, said the Citizens boss. Three weeks after surgery, step by step every week will be better.”
The Citizens are the only team in the Premier League to have a 100% record this season and will want to continue their winning streak as teams return from the international break.
