Manchester City is reportedly eyeing Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell as their next transfer target, according to Daily Mail.
This comes as the club is searching for a replacement left-back with the departure of Joao Cancelo, who joined Bayern Munich on loan until the end of the season with an option to make it permanent for €70 million.

Man City had previously been interested in Chilwell during his time at Leicester City but lost out to Chelsea in the signing. With the departure of Cancelo, Nathan Ake and Sergio Gomez are expected to share duties at left-back for City this season.
Additionally, Benjamin Mendy, another left-back on City’s roster, is facing suspension from the club due to his arrest and is likely to depart as his contract expires at the end of the season.
Ben Chilwell, who has recently recovered from a hamstring injury and is back in training, has made 68 appearances for Chelsea with 8 goals and 10 assists to his name. The Englishman is eager for an opportunity to get back on the pitch.
It remains to be seen whether Manchester City will be successful in their pursuit of Chilwell, but with Cancelo joining the German side, they are in need of a solid left-back to strengthen their defence.
