The teenage defensive midfielder is considered the next big thing coming out of Argentina. Perrone is said to be a huge talent for the future and Man City have already invested in him.
Maximo Perrone has played 33 times for Velez across all competitions scoring three goals and providing two assists. The 19-year-old is more than stats though and is very mature for his age.
Man City are likely to loan Maximo Perrone out as he will not get a chance with the first team yet. If he can continue developing, he can be a huge player in the future though.
The 19-year-old can be viewed as a long-term replacement for the talented Rodri Hernandez. The Spaniard still has a long time left at the top level but Perrone must be developed into that role.
Manchester City have shown in recent times that they have a keen eye of securing young talents. Maximo Perrone is the latest one on the list and let’s see how he develops.
