The Champions have refused to bid for their speculated and new centre-back interest in Kalidou Koulibaly. There were rumours of Manchester City juggling in for the Senegal defender amidst already grown interests from Manchester United and also a bit from Real Madrid.
The Italian newspaper had published the article stating City’s interest in Koulibaly which has now been snubbed by the City officials. Then, Pep Guardiola was ready to spend £120 million for the centre-back which now has been confirmed dead and void.
Adding Koulibaly to an already stacked squad was always cloudy but the absence of Kompany made it clearer. However, the Daily Mail has made it crystal clear that the Champions will not run behind a defender for so much price and so little difference than Harry Maguire.
Meaning, the Sky Blues are willing and heavily determined to sign the Leicester centre-back. Harry Maguire has always been on the cards and the ace for Guardiola will cost City around £80 million which is a lot lesser than the Naples defender who only virtually joined the club.
The centre-back requirement as we all know is a necessity after Kompany’s retirement decision and thus Maguire is stringed to the train that’ll depart to Manchester before the start of next season.

Koulibaly will be better for our “noisy neighbours” who are determined to make him the richest and most paid defender in the history of Premier League. This, I conclude and am fairly assured that Maguire will join us and Koulibaly will head to opposite part of the same city.
