Manchester City are monitoring the progress of talented French defender Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Cityzens seem to be on the hunt for a left-back. They are said to be courting another Frenchman in Ferland Mendy but that will be a more difficult operation to pull off.
Ai-Nouri has long been very highly rated. He has impressed during his time at Wolves but he has not been able to establish himself as a regular starter for the club.
The 21-year-old is an attacking-minded left-back. He loves getting forward at every given opportunity. He would be a great fit in the Manchester City team.
Pep Guardiola’s side play without a natural left-back. The Spanish tactician has preferred to use one of Joao Cancelo or Nathan Ake in that position.
They did sign the talented Sergio Gomez from Anderlecht and he is very young. It would take him some time to adapt to the Premier League. Ai-Nouri on the other hand has experience playing here and would be a great option.
If Man City are looking to sign a left-back, Ait-Nouri would be a far better option than Ferland Mendy. It remains to be seen if Man City actually make a move for him.
