Manchester City’s right-back Kyle Walker thinks that the team lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last night due to a lack of clear-cut chances.
City’s fullback believes that the team needs to improve in creating opportunities in and around the box. Kyle is not being negative towards his teammates but feels that the team needs to work on making clear-cut chances.
According to Kyle Walker, sometimes it is important to have shots on target and to make sure that the team is taking shots. He feels that the team needs to be more confident & aggressive in front of goals and take more risks in order to create chances for themselves.
Here is what the English right-back had to say about the game and why he thinks Man City did not play well last night in a ground that has haunted them for a while now:
“For me it’s just creating chances. I’m not being negative with anyone but it’s certain things that we can do in and around the box we can improve on, making that clear-cut chance. Sometimes you need to have shots and get shots on target.”
Walker is not wrong in his assessment of the team. It was a labored performance for the defending Champions which is an unusual occurrence from them. They will be hoping to bounce back.
