Manchester City have suffered a huge blow as Ederson Moraes could miss the Premier League trip to Liverpool after he picked up a muscular injury in 1-1 draw against Atalanta.
He was replaced by Claudio Bravo at half-time of City’s Champions League draw that immediately puts his availability for Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash with Liverpool at Anfield in question.
When asked if Ederson would be fit for the trip to Anfield, Guardiola said: “I don’t know right now. It’s a muscular problem. It was not big but [I took him off] to avoid risk. He didn’t feel comfortable in the last minutes and that’s why we decided to make a substitution.”

We likely won’t get any official confirmations from Manchester City until tomorrow, or possibly Friday, when the official pre-game press conference is scheduled.
With City already without Aymeric Laporte, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Rodri, David Silva, Leroy Sane and now Ederson, Liverpool may have been a little bump in the Premier League title race.
