Manchester City’s long lost defender, Whom you probably might have forgot about – Eliaquim Mangala is set to be back from knee injury which kept him out for about half a year.
Mangala was only into his second appearance of the season (on loan at Everton) when he suffered basically his season ending injury and the door for a move away from his ‘nightmare’ spell at City were forced to shutdown.
Eliaquim announced his return via Twitter, thanking everyone who helped him in the tough times.
A lot of time has passed between these moments, but one thing in common: work & determination !
Happy to be back on the field, thank you to all those who supported me : my family, my friends,my physiotherapists, my teammates, my staff, my team and all of you ! 👊🏿#MangoIsBack 🔥 pic.twitter.com/jLKLvaqX3R— Eliaquim Mangala (@Elia22Mangala) October 29, 2018
Manchester City signed Eliaquim Mangala for forty-two million pounds from Porto in 2014. His contract is set to expire in the summer and the French defender is all set to leave for nothing unless he pulls off a move away from Etihad in January.
