As revealed by TeamTalk, Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne could embark on an unprecedented new chapter with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, ready to offer a blockbuster contract offer next summer.
The 33-year-old is out of contract in ten months from now and needs to review his future or risk getting stuck in the treatment room. The Middle Eastern club is ready to prepare an escape route for him with a double-your-money deal.
Man City have tasted incredible success in England winning six Premier League titles in nine years, with the midfield maestro at the heart of it. He has been the best Premier League player under manager Pep Guardiola, scoring 103 goals and providing 171 assists in 388 games.
Manchester City were not interested in offering him a new contract due to his age and persistent injury problems. He missed 41 games last season and six games already this season.
Guardiola might explore a new journey as well, as his contract is also set to expire next summer. Similarly, we expect other senior players in the squad to move on.
DE BRUYNE ACCEPTS MAN CITY FATE
The Saudi club is confident of luring De Bruyne in 2025, with the player himself admitting that he needs to be open to every opportunity. Talking about his future in an interview with Belgian publication HLN last summer, he said: “At my age you have to be open to everything. You’re talking about incredible amounts of money in what may be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.”
“If I play there for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount of money. Before that I had to play football for 15 years. I may not even reach that amount yet.”
As Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo recently stated, Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be at the heart of this deal, as he wants the champions to overcome the dominance of Al-Hilal in the SPL.

The Portuguese striker is yet to win a major title since moving to the Middle East. But having De Bruyne by their side will make them heavy favourites.
Other European clubs are also in the race, but even the wealthiest of clubs will find it impossible to match Al Nassr’s mammoth wage deal.
AL-NASSR KNOW HOW TO CONVINCE BELGIAN ACE
The Belgian ace is currently the highest-earning Man City and Premier League player, pocketing £400,000 per week. He is closely followed by Erling Haaland, who earns a base salary of £375,000 per week.
Al Nassr are ready to offer him a whopping £1m per week, which is still less than Ronaldo’s £3.4m per week.

Guardiola will be happy to keep the player, but such a lucrative deal will be difficult to turn down. His release will make way for a new star to lead the midfield unit.
De Bruyne’s transfer is beneficial for the SPL in terms of monetary gains. They can attract more Premier League talents in the future and raise the bar of their league. The fans will forever keep the senior midfielder in high regard, as he has been an absolute legend on the field.
