Juventus are interested in signing talented Spanish left-back Sergio Gomez from Manchester City in the summer as a replacement for the exit-linked Alex Sandro.
The Brazilian’s time in Turin is coming to an end. His contract expires in the summer and with both parties not showing any inclination of signing a new deal, and it does look like Sandro will leave on a free transfer.
If the Brazilian indeed leaves, then Juventus need a replacement. They have identified the young left-back Sergio Gomez that Manchester City signed very recently as the perfect option for that position but they need to make the Premier League club agree to sell him.
Gomez joined Man City only in the summer and has not really had a chance to prove himself yet. However, in the limited opportunities that he has gotten in that position, he has shown that he has a huge future in the game.
There are still things that Sergio Gomez needs to improve but he has all the raw facts required to become a huge player in the future. However, playing under a manager like Pep Guardiola is going to benefit him a lot.
Pep has shown in the past that he will give his players the necessary time to adapt to the Premier League and they will become more important in the subsequent seasons. This could be the case with Sergio Gomez and it will be a surprise if Man City sell him.
