Jamal Musiala has become a potential target for Manchester City amidst rumors that Kevin De Bruyne might move to Saudi Arabia. With De Bruyne’s future uncertain, Man City could look to the Bayern Munich star as a replacement.

Musiala made 38 appearances last season across all competition for the Bavarians, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists and has been performing exceptionally well over the last 18 months. The German youngster is determined to develop his skills and could even set his sights on the Ballon d’Or in the future if he were at Real Madrid, Manchester City, or Liverpool.

Jan-Christian Dreesen mentioned at the start of the season how important Jamal is for the team. Die Rekordmeister need Jamal’s presence and could potentially offer an improved contract to keep him. Here is what Jamal has to say about a good team environment.

“For me, the coaching decision was important. I want us to play good, attractive football and compete for the title in the league and the Champions League with a good team. I want to play in an environment where there’s a good feeling and the boys are happy on the pitch. Because then I can also show my qualities,”

Kevin’s contract at Man City is set to expire within a year, and he has a good chance of moving to a new club. The speculated rumours suggest that he’s been getting some serious offers from Al-Ittihad and might move to line up his pockets. Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal have also set their eyes on the midfielder.

The Belgian has been at the Etihad Stadium since 2015 and has made huge contributions to the team’s success and was part of six Premier League titles. The absence of the 33-year-old will affect the Blues but they have adequate replacements and might even try and sign Musiala.

It is reported that Bayern would demand £100m for Jamal, which is a fair fee considering his abilities. With Jamal playing behind Haaland, the Etihad Stadium could witness a lot of assists to the Norwegian. Pep Guardiola would love to coach the German youngster and he could further develop his skills, becoming the very best in the world in his position.

De Bruyne has been one of City’s most important players in the Pep era but his numerous injury issues have taught the club how to play without him. Musiala is an option in the transfer market but it sounds unrealistic at the moment.
