SPAIN vs ALBANIA (1-0)

Rodrigo: Suspended for this game after picking up two yellow cards in the previous two group stage games. Will be available for Spain’s round-of-16 game.

CROATIA vs ITALY (1-1)

Mateo Kovacic: A fairly solid game by the central midfielder who did all the basic duties of a CM well. Substituted in the 70th minute.

Josko Gvardiol: Playing as a left back this game, the versatile defender had a strong defensive showing. Was absolutely devastated following Italy’s late equalizer, which knocked Croatia out of the Euros.

ENGLAND vs SLOVENIA (0-0)

Kyle Walker: Was a bit dodgy in possession at times but had a decent game defensively. Would have liked to contribute offensively more.

John Stones: With Slovenia not much of a threat offensively, Stones didn’t have much to do. He passed accurately but could have been more ambitious in his passing.

Phil Foden: Probably England’s brightest spark in the attack, Foden had his best game of the tournament. Despite his improvement, he couldn’t inspire the Three Lions to a victory.

NETHERLANDS vs AUSTRIA (2-3)

Nathan Ake: Was average at the back. Did nothing wrong as such but failed to offer anything from a creative standpoint. Taken off in the 65th minute.

GROUP E

BELGIUM vs UKRAINE (0-0)

Jeremy Doku: Was direct with the ball and while he got past his man multiple times, he lacked the end product to create any meaningful chance.

Kevin De Bruyne: Another inspiring display by the Belgian captain. Created some good opportunities for his teammates but they were wasteful.

PORTUGAL vs GEORGIA (2-0)

Matheus Nunes: Not originally in the squad, he was brought in as a replacement for the injured Otavio. Introduced in the 75th minute, he failed to make an impact.

Ruben Dias: Unused substitute. Having confirmed their status as group winners, most of the first team members were rested for this game.

Bernardo Silva: Another player rested from the rotated team deployed by the Portugal manager.

Joao Cancelo: On the bench as the ‘B’ team suffered a shock defeat against an inspired Georgia.
