Manchester City are said to be interested in making a move for talented Spanish forward Ansu Fati from Barcelona in the summer.
Ansu Fati is one of the most talented players coming out of the Barcelona academy in recent years. He has been destined for greatness from a very young age and he showed promise initially.
One of the unluckiest players going around, Fati has been through injury hell for a couple of seasons now. An unfortunate collision in a match against Real Betis has really haunted the 20-year-old Spaniard.
Fati had to undergo four surgeries on the same knee and he has suffered relapses since. Since then, the Spaniard has never been the same player again.
Barcelona have tried to be very cautious with Ansu Fati to avoid injuries to him. However, the Spaniard looks like a pale shadow of his former confident self and is struggling to score goals,
Manchester City might offer a talented Spain forward a way out. They are said to be interested in acquiring Ansu Fati and he is set to cost around 70 million euros.
Although playing under Pep Guardiola is always an exciting prospect, Fati seems to be set on staying at Barcelona and the club also wants to keep him. It’s unlikely that City end up signing him.
